Day 30: What's Next?

You made it! Congratulations on reading through the book of John!

Did you learn anything new about Jesus? What part of this reading brought you JOY?

As we mentioned at the start of this all, John gives us a picture into the life of Jesus that is a jumping-off point for the rest of the Bible: a story about God and His deep love for us.

The Bible is one complete story… a continual story that points to our need for a Savior. For our need for Jesus. As your journey in discovering that story continues, we pray that:

You are encouraged by the interactions Jesus had with those around Him.

You understand the hope you can have because of His sacrifice for you.

You are filled with JOY as you learn of God’s love for you!

Now that you’ve tackled the book of John, where do you go from here?

You have many choices of where to explore the Bible next. No matter where you go in reading the Bible, you won’t be disappointed. The story of God’s unchanging love for us is woven throughout each book!

Here are four ideas for you to guide you on your next steps:

The Beginning - Want to know how it all started and why we need Jesus in the first place? Go back to the beginning - the creation and fall of man and see God’s redemption plan in action through His chosen people found in Genesis and Exodus. The Chara Project provides a 45-day reading plan that will walk you through the first two books of the Bible, where you’ll meet some familiar and not so familiar people, and understand God’s ultimate desire and plan for humanity.

Jesus’s Life - Want to learn more about Jesus? Learn from Luke, who studied the myriad accounts of those close to Christ. The Chara Project provides a 20-day reading plan that guides you through the book of Luke as you read about Jesus’ birth, ministry, and death.

The Early Church - What happened after Jesus’ death? Spend time in the book of Acts, which accounts the spread and fame of Jesus after His ascension to Heaven. The Chara Project offers a 25-day reading plan that unfolds the amazing stories of how the early church got started and some of the hardships and victories they experienced along the way.

Living For Christ - Want to know what it means to be a Christ-follower? The apostle Paul wrote specific letters to the early churches that provided insight, encouragement, and guidance as they grew in their faith, and it can do the same for us today. Camped in the books of Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians, The Chara Project 20-day reading plan will be an encouragement to Christ-followers at any stage of their life.
